IDFA presents Doc Next:  10 Doc Next films are selected for screening prior to feature documentaries in the main IDFA program. View the schedule.

Doc Next Mini Cinema: we screen the best of the Doc Next Media Collection in a container cinema at the Rembrandtplein. Local Heroes, Places and Changes are half-hour screenings of young do-it-yourself documentary makers,  revealing another image of Europe.

Free entrance, every day from 12 to 8 pm (Sunday 27 Nov until 6 pm). View detailed programme.

Doc Next Industry Panel: “Is the documentary industry over the hill?” Against the backdrop of an aging television audience, a new generation of media consumers is emerging who in many cases are also media producers. Should the documentary industry try to adapt to these “prosumers,” and how should it go about doing so?
